Planning on launching around 8am at Trophy Club Park. Destination is the "Henrietta Hole". Targeting crappie & sandies. Come join me if you can, I definitely wouldn't mind the company.

Wish I could ... I get every other Friday off, but of course this week ain't it.

Been itching for an opportunity to get all the way back to the hole, but haven't had a day with enough time for that much paddling. (hate it when "life" gets in the way of fishing). Last Saturday afternoon made it up to that last bend before you cross under 377.

I thought about Sunday too, but I don't have class Fridays so figured I do a scouting trip. Not sure if I should take my kayak or canoe. If my TM battery will make it to & from the hole, I rather take my canoe being that it's a long paddle. If my wife doesn't have any plans, I'll join you Sunday too.

Yeah it is. Thought I would troll my way to the hole. I've paddled almost all the way to I35W last year looking for the hole. That was my 1st time at Denton Creek & didn't know where I was going. Needless to say, I was exhausted when I got back to the boat ramp. Last year I didn't do all to well pass 377. All the fish I caught were east of 377 down river. I would like to try to launch from 377 if my kayak wasn't on the heavy side.

Yeah my kayak is 44 pounds so it wasn't bad. If you had a partner out there with you could help eachother out. I'll be going again sometime next week if you want to pair up.

If anyone wants to head out to Denton Creek on Sunday let me know. I really hate kayaking by myself. For me to lift it up on a SUV is murder after 8hrs of fishing.

Ren Returns - I have never been to Denton Creek, are you getting a shuttle service back to your vehicle or are planning to paddle back? Looking at google maps, the creek looks dry in certain spots.

Boats are getting all the way back there right now. So in a kayak you should have no trouble.

What's the time it takes to paddle from the put in to the 377 bridge and why would you put in there vs 377? Is there parking there. I live maybe 30 minutes from there, so may try it out soon. How much traffic is there? Bank fishermen casting at H Hole? Yaks jocking for position?
