What would be a good color to use right now for a square bill while the spawn is happening

Go with a perch when fishing shallow that's the main forage during the spawn for bass

From my experience when they are on beds actually spawning I can not get them to eat a squarebill but I can for sure pre and post spawn. And I mean one day be prespawn next day bedding.
I can backlash toilet paper.

Just about any color will work I have noticed in dirty water and or running it over rocks then poping in on a bed. Most popular color I belive is the chartruse sexy shad. It flashes chartruse like a perch yet still has a look like a shad.

Spinnerbait right now. Chartruese in stained water. White in less than stained water. No trailer right now and trim the skirt down to the hook.

I like shad color square bills with a lot of white. White is very visible in dirty water.
