02/25/2012 Looks like the light house to me Phillip/ or that what we call it. Capt'n Mike

I went fishing on 2/26/12 and needed to get a year permit for my boat and the lady working told me that someone had caught a #14 at the crappie house and he took it home and ate it. I guess he had no idea about the sharelunker program.

That is a big filet!

Yep I heard it too. Not surprising that they took it home. I've seen numerous people walk out of there with stringers of bass that don't meet the regulations to keep the fish. I would love to see TPWD have a stronger presence down there to enforce the regulations.

He broke NO Laws. It's his fish to do as He pleases. although it veary sad to see a trophy like that get cut.
TPWD does an excellent job at LAH enforcing fishing regs and Keeping the drunk boat operators off the lake.

Not so sure he was talking about the big fish that was kept. But about people keeping short fish.

for as much as it cost to fish there you should be able to keep anything you catch.

What was bassen' s stupid remark. Bassen I totally agree with you. To the young man that has seen all those stringers of fish being kept that are not legal next time call the gamewarden.

You can call game warden all day. I've done it numerous times at Keith lake cut. They show up ask for license plate number if vehicle has left and .that's it. Who knows if anything really happens.

I talked to the guy that caught the 14 lb'er. on Sunday at noon. He's a nice guy that I know follows the fishing regulations. He chose to take the large mouth home. He told me he took it home and put the bass in a aquarium. The bass was still alive. I told him to call the Sharelunker people and maybe they would still take the fish. I let him know the positive aspects of turning in the large bass. Not sure what he decided. Whatever he decided, it's his decision to make.
