When everyone that is willing to pay $400 dollars for a Hydrowave gets one, sales will drop off and the price will also drop to say $350. Then everyone willing to pay $350 for one will and so on. It's called price skimming and it's a great sales strategy when: A) your target customers have to have the latest and greatest technology and/or B) you have a monopoly or you are the industry leader and others base there prices on your product
In this case both apply. If they were to sell them cheaper right away, there wouldn't be many more sales overall in the long run. Starting high just spreads the sales over a longer period and increases profit.

Side imaging prices haven't fallen and I expect the Hydrowave prices to remain as they are. I'm pretty frugal as to what I'll spend my money on and the Hydrowave is on my boat alongside the SI. Both are valuable tools. In the Lone Star Series they will be giving one away to the Big Bass winner from each Series event as well as the Championship in addition to the Big Bass cash.
Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.

Side imaging prices are in fact starting to decrease as new technology comes out. I was at cabelas the other day and they had a bundle with the hds7 and lss1 for something like $750-$800 I think. ( don't quote me on that, I'm a HB guy so I didn't pay alot of attention to it) but I do remember thinking " wow, that's a darn good deal". Just like lowrance moving into gen 2 all tech markets upgrade to newer technology. Id be a buyer at $250

Well Brandon you wanted feedback...and you got got some good ones...:) Ranger-520 hit it on the head pretty well as did others here.
Either way, keep on innovating and the product will attract customers. Gotta love this country's ingenuity when it comes to stuff like this...America has still got it...:)
Now if we could just invent imaging glasses you can wear to see exactly where the fish are...I might be better at catching them...:)

Now that I have mine. I think you should triple the price! Whatever you do don't drop the price. The less people that have them the better, for me anyway!

Wow.. Alot of squabble over 50 bucks.. After watchin a bedding Bass swim off time after time, I turned my Hydro on and the fish charged in and engulfed my bait! Only a 2pndr but to see that action was crazy.. Well worth every penny. Thanks Hydro Wave!

I had mine on saturday on fork. Cant say it helped or not. We boater 4 unders and 2 slots. I didnt see any shad jumping out of the water, but didnt expect to because of water temps. I actually thought it might have been broken because of the way it sounded, but after visiting the hydrowave booth at the classic expo, I know its the right sound, or at least it sounded the same as the one on display

Turtle's always appear out of no where. I actually had a loon cramp up from eating the schooling shad around the boat. Strange things happen when you turn the thing on!!!

I have got one and could not tell if it works or not. Maybe we are setting it worng and have not got it figured out. All I have heard about is it bringing up shad and I myself have not seen anything like that. So my question is what am I doing wrong?

All I have heard about is it bringing up shad and I myself have not seen anything like that. So my question is what am I doing wrong? Turn your volume down. After I learned to do that, it made all the difference. I don't feel it is magic, but I feel it puts an extra fish or 10 in the boat for me.
Like me for what I am, or don't like me at all.
