I have a 2007 Skeeter I Class with a built in Minn Kota 4 bank charger and one bank is not charging.

Does anyone know who repairs these or knows "how to" repair them?

I talked with All Star in Dallas and they said they are sealed units and I needed to buy a new one. About $400! Yikes!!

Appreciate any help.

Call the mfg. I know Dual Pro gives you a real brake if one of their units fails. Maybe MK will also.

Sealed units and no servicable parts inside. Have you swapped the leads with the "bad" bank to one with the good bank. Sometimes a battery will discharge to the point it doesn't turn the charger on

Yeah I did try that but no luck.

There are two wires coming from the charger, one white and the other black. They lead to an inline fuse holder on each wire and then change to a black and a red wire from the other end of the fuse holder to the battery.

I cut back the white wire back a little thinking to replace the inline fuse holder thinking maybe it was bad. Instead I found a green wire that appears shorted and it seems to be either a "thermal fuse" or a �capacitor� of some sort.

Any idea what that is????

Just a follow up: I talked with Minn Kota today and the service tech said the green wire is a "thermistor" which regulates the charge and prevents overheating and if broken the charger would not work. He also said this is the first time he has ever heard of one of these "thermistors" going bad.

They are sending me a new cable to replace mine at "no charge".

Just a follow up in case someone here has the same problem someday:

I got the new cable from Minn Kota today and spliced it in and now the battery charger works on all 4 banks. It was the "thermistor".
