I am not sure what the guys name is that sings songs about fishing but to be honest...I hope he can fish better than he can sing because he is not the best singer in the world.

I know he is trying but B.A.S.S needs to find something better to fill the time.

Whoever is writing his songs needs to find another job as well.

I was nonplussed to say the least. Did BASS recruit this act or is there some nepotism somewhere down the line ? I mean ...... what gives ? That was definitely a weak spot.

Not impressed is a nice way to say how bad he was.

I hope he enjoyed his one time on stage at the Classic finals. (unless of course he is kin to McKinnis)

Bad choice by the B.A.S.S. brass to have him on. The crowd did not respond too well to him or his music.

Brian is actually a pretty good singer, I watched it and thought it was horrible, but some of his other songs are a lot better. I think it would have been a little better if you could have heard the music going with it. He's a good fisherman to, appeared on Next bite alot, was a big musky guy, but competed last year in the northern opens as a co and this year will be competing as a pro.

I did'nt see/hear it, but from my Federation experience with B.A.S.S. they will go to great lengths to save a penny (let alone a buck). Certainly not hard for me to image them scrimping on the entertainment.

I am sure he's a great guy SWAG. I guess he just picked a bad time to sing the songs he sang. And that was a tough crowd to win over with songs that were "less than good." That Classic crowd can be like sharks to blood sometimes it seems. JMO.

But hey, he sang better in front of 18,000 people than I ever would! I'll give him props for the effort.

I wish him luck next year in the Northern Opens. thumb

It's not like the crowd was setup to be in the best of moods! How many times did they really need to brag on Alabama football to an LSU crowd? I could understand once an it would be funny but after about the third time I'm pretty sure everyone was sick of the "entertainment" and just wanted to see fish being weighed smile. Heck they even had to create the opening scenes for the future TV show several times because they couldn't get the crowd involved at all! Those MC's are horrible in my opinion. Their better be some dang good editors working at ESPN smile

IMO the sound system was horrible! All aspects. Either too loud it verberated (don't know if that is a word..lol) so loud your couldn't hear what was going on....or it was too quiet (Sanders and Zona).

I think that had something to do with the music being bad....I couldn't understand a word he said...or sang about.

Two years ago I don't remember that being an issue.
