Air temp in the morning was 28-30 Degrees. Surface temp was 55 in Ledbeters warmed as the day went on fish bite was not shallow early for us the bite was from 4ft to 17ft next to the channel swings and hardwoods and rocks mixed in if you can find wil increase your chances. Lure with the best results were a short carolina rig leaders ranged from 3.5ft to 2.5 had better results with the short leader pulling over the trees and over the stumps and rocks Hint:(Brush Hogs). The best bite was seemed to depend on water color more than anything. Flat creek to Main Lake produces some nice 3 bass stringers just under 15lb. LOTS of 14" fish caught but some nice fish were caught on the points aswell. Other lures to produce but a slower fish catch was the jigs in Kickapoo Creek but not many to murky of water and it was a little colder up there still..

Con. Flat creek produced fish on plastics in brush and timber in 4' to deeper. Main lake produced early bites off points even with colder weather all day long. Average fish that I had seen brought in weighed around 1.5lb keepers with a few nicer fish from 4.5 to 9lbs. The big girls just not in the shallows all the way yet. Not saying they are not present just telling my opinion from the day. Find the channel swings point combinations+ and the points with timber best reults the point mixed with rocks and timber be it stumps or brush piles. Next warm spell of weather should be great start to some better fishing. Good Luck!
