we need more ladys fishing bass tournaments i fish media and we had a team of two women dont know how they finished but thats not imporant.i would just like to see more people out there having fun.i would fish with my but her work scheldue is aleays differnt.and she not bad she can hold her own.she learn from the best just kidding.

I fish tounaments with my other half ever chance I get. We just don't get to fish many these days. I do go fishing with him quite often though.

I totally agree. My husband and I fish CAST tournaments together, but we need more of a female presence at the larger tournaments.

Mary Lou I second that motion. Not many people venture down this far. We need to be up around the fishing section. I did get a chance to go out this weekend. We caught maybe about 25 whites in about 2 hours. Meet up with Don the Angler out on Lewisville. We will probably go out again this weekend. Will keep you informed.

So far, I have e-mailed JP twice suggesting/asking that the Lady Anglers be moved out of the basement.....
So far, I have not had a response from him, perhaps if he was deluged with e-mails with the same request, he might honor our request.
I suggested that we be placed right above Bass Fishing....

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

The Lady Anglers section was set up to allow our female members a place of their own. The rest of the forum is as much for y�all as it is for the guys. Since this section is not specifically for freshwater, it does not belong in that section, plus we are at our max for that area and don�t want to push our saltwater section down any further.

It seems like women have always had an uphill battle being involved in bass fishing. When I first quit playing fast pitch softball all over the southwest and started fishing I immediately got interested since my first fishing partner was Kenny and his mom was Val Poe. Val owns Val's Landing on Lake Fork and used to be one of the top women anglers in the country. I used to look at some of her awards and plaques from all over the country in Bass N Gal and Lady Bass tournaments. Then I joined the Century Bass Club where Bob Ferris emceed our open tournaments and another club member helped him and Sugar Ferris out with the Bass N Gals circuit. Sugar Ferris' work during that time period brought women's fishing to it's peak and unfortunately without someone like her women's fishing especially in this area of the country has suffered.

Women that involve themselves in fishing and the great outdoors are pretty rare. There aren't a lot of women who find passion in wanting a big powerful boat and learn to drive it on lakes with all kinds of weather conditions, that want to be on the water in cold, rainy or extreme hot conditions and want to put the time into a sport that keeps changing and a sport that you never really ever quit learning.
It takes special women to have that passion because as we all know this isn't a hobby or sport, it is really a way of life.

JP,you know I love you, but we are below tournaments and equipment and in Additional Topics. THAT IS IN THE BASEMENT as ladyrodbuilder said. We do thank you for the chat spot, but it would be nice to be above equipment. Most people don't even scan all the way down to find a lady angler spot, but if they do see it they will respond. Man, I am not going to say one word at all! Too scared of the wrath that would be unleashed on me from my good friend Lady Rod Builder. But just to let you know ML, I will tell you all my jokes I am thinking of when I see you again, but I will stay at least 7 feet away from you. Why? That way you cannot hit me with a rod.

By the way, the tomatoes were great! The bell peppers,,,well, here is what I did. I diced two small ones up and added it to my first ever attempt at making a meatloaf...now, I used buffalo, had two pounds ground up and said what the heck, I will try it. My buddy gave it to me. Then I cooked the meat loaf and stuffed the other bell peppers with it until they were full. Re-heated them in the oven and the peppers cooked some too. Oh it was good!

I thought of you on Friday morning....fishing with my new rod, there was a horse standing in two foot of water and he was violently kicking the water, raising a fuss and you could hear it from 200 yards away and see the water splash up four feet. He did it with both front legs. Told my wife, she said he was playing...I thought he was after that little 3lb bass that threw my topwater out of his mouth.
