I have 24 in rims on my truck and they are a 30 profile tire and I was wondering if this would cause me problems with pulling and launching a boat. I have a 2009 Nissan Titan and it has the tow package on it but its not the 4x4. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.

I think you'll be fine with a 21' bass boat or less. I'd avoid a big heavy ski boat. It probably won't tow as well as it would with standard tires and rims, but I think it'll survive it just fine.

Shoot, you could pull a john boat on just rims with that truck.

I've never been big on Nissan trucks, but I just recently talked to my brother, who's a car salesman, and said he had a truck come in the other day with higher mileage than any other vehicle he's ever seen. It was a Nissan Titan that was about to push over the 600k mile mark. Original engine and I think he said the guy told him he was on his 2nd tranny. I couldn't believe it. They must make a pretty good truck.

I hate where auto makers are headed with these big rims. I like to have a little more rubber between myself and the road and for sure the rocks (on my deer lease). As far as towing you should be fine.

The key to high mileage on a vehicle is how it is driven and maintained. If 95% of the miles are at 70 mph with cruise control then I would think a lot of truck engines could go 500k. I go 100k often before replacing brakes.

If it has the tow package it is rated for towing 9600lbs I think, so as long as the tires can support what you are towing you should be alright.

I'm doubting that those tires have a very high weight rating. I wouldn't trust 'em for any distance, especially in 90+ degree temps.
