I caught my largest bass ever today on Inks Lake from my canoe today. I was able to measure, but not weigh. Like to have an opinion of her weight from one of you. She was 24" and heavy, but not super fat. I'd like to brag on this fish, but I've got to have an idea how she weighed.

this time of year a 24" bass will weigh somewhere in the 8-9# range...nice fish!

My bass was 23.5" and had a 20 inch girth and was 8.5 pounds. She was pretty thick but not from eggs. I caught her in august well past the spawn. I'd say your bass was anywhere from 7-9.5 pounds. Its hard to judge with no girth measure. You can try looking at weight charts but most of those are based on seasons and fish studied in tanks, which are not natural.

I've seen 24" fish weigh 5lbs and I've seen them weigh 13+. Way too many variables.

Superfrog, it was nice meeting you today, I was the big guy in the blazer bassboat wearing the green shirt that talked to you, congrats on the catch! You told me what you thought it weighed but a nice 24inch fat bass would probably go 8 lbs easy

My first double digit. on cert scales with a free replica was 24 1/4 inches long and i think 22 1/2 id have to recheck the girth. She weighed 10.25. Also have had a thin fish late spawn 26 1/2 long and 20 and somethin girth weighed 9.84 cert scales. So could vary a good bit.

Yes! I remember you! I think the fish was 6+ . It didn't look like it was going to spawn very soon.

24" is a good fish anywhere! Call it whatever you want, enjoy and go catch another. Measure lenth and girth next time and there is a formula for coming up with a weight but it is no more accurate then a guess.

Caught a football at falcon last week that went 9.11lbs. It was 24 lengeth and 19 girth this formula was the close one to it. She had already spawned or would have went a little more.

bass weight = (length x length x girth) / 1,200
