Hello... to all the lady fishers out there...i am new to the board.. it is raining outside and i am on call.. so no fishing in the flesh today..bummer.. soooo thought now is a good time to intro myself.. so howdy..i live... breathe and dream fishing...i mostly wet my lines for hybrids.. sandies... and large cat...went fishing last Wednesday and did fairly well on the sandies in 24-27' and caught a few +10 cats under them and/or near in drops
...i hope to laugh...learn...share with you...

Hey Rose, Welcome to the most wonderful fising forum you'll find anywhere. Where do you fish? You sound like you have the addiction like the rest of us who are in this sport of mostly men. I fish mostly east TX now ... primarily Lake Palestine...due to my work schedule at the moment...and the convenience of the lake in my back yard... a week is not good unless i can wet a line ... my mom and dad while i was growing up..said i was born with a pole in my hand.. and an eager grin.. my addiction is so bad when i was scheduled to go on a cruise.. we had to cancel.. because they would not confirm that i could troll behind the big boat. herherher... anyways.. thanks for the welcome.. and may your line not be slack soon..

Welcome to the family. I too love to fish with a passion. I live down by Corpus Christi right on the coast so I feel very lucky to live "on" the water. I have fished since I was a kid and no one will ever take the fishin' outta me!! I don't care too too much for winter fishin' and besides i have worked lots these past coupla months. Can't wait till the spring when it starts a warmin' up. It's a good time to clean out the tackle box, re-spool, and make a list of things you may need. I've made mine for the wading. Can't hardly wait until then. In the meantime,
rest up! I have a feeling we're up for a good season in these here waters.

I love to fish also, I'm kinda focusing on fly fishing now, it is alot of fun!!
I'm soooooooooooooooooo ready for the cold weather to go away, especially this freezing stuff, the streets are still iced over, I haven't been out in 2 days.
Just sitting around trying to tie some flies & dreaming about catching some BASS!!!

I can't wait to get back in my kayak on the Brazos River with my Lab "Brazos".

yuppers... i am.. i work as a surgical trauma nurse in east TX.. when i am not working... i live to fish.. you could say i work to fish.... at one time i worked as a travel nurse.. and chose assignments by what kind of fishing i wanted to do.. fished several states and was paid well.. : ) now i want to concentrate on Lake Palestine and take care of my lake house for a bit... sold most of my boats.. kept a few.. but now getting a hankering to buy a jet ski strictly for fishing.. i am not one to go fast.. and i am conscious of fellow fishers.. i just want the option in the summer to run the lake and hit my spots and not fuss with a larger boat.. hummm... anyways.. more than you wanted to know..

ROSIE, I HAD THE ONLY JET SKI ON RAY ROBERTS WITH A GRAPH AND GPS FOR FISHING. USED IT IN THE SPRING TO GO UP CREEKS TO FISH WHERE BOATS COULDN'T GO. I USUALLY WALKED THE BANKS AFTER REACHING THE RIGHT AREAS. SHOULD BE OK FOR FISHING OPEN WATER AREAS.
