Texasmama, We are so glad you decided to respond and might I say how well you did respond over in the Stripers-whites forum. You will see alot of great posts this time of year starting about now because of the weather there are a lot of discussions on just about everything. This forum is definately addictive. Hey ladys,I was looking back on past topics i have missed and came across this one and just had to chime in. The whole "u don't look like u fish " thing really used to get to me before, but i guess guys are starting to get it , we're here...we're fishin'...and we ain't leavin'. Funny, I'm 5 ft 1 and work as a pre'k teacher my second yr and i'm always in heels and skirts/slacks so i can see why i get the"ur kidding? u fish?" after kelly painted that some what disturbing picture of what women in fishing are supposed to look like,lol. I'm glad to hear more ladys share in the sport, when i try to talk fishin with a few of the girls i know, i always get "why? don't tell me u actually touch those slimy things? and what is so fun about it?" Thats what really sucks about living in a small town, i don't know very many women who have the same passion for fishing as i do. I only wish i could some day afford my own boat. Too much debt, i feel it's a hopeless cause. And when i find guys in my area to go along with , theres always some strings atatched, like a date. arrrggghhh! for once i would like to go fish with someone who won't hit on me and just enjoy the day talikng fish! anyone agree w/me?

I read your message about having a get together for the TFF.
It would be great if all the ladies here would get together, so we could put a face with the names,and swap some fishing stories and some food.
Maybe even have a swap meet for extra fishing stuff !!
