Wanting to buy a new dropshot rod. Have been looking at the Dobyns Champion series 701 or 702. Anybody use these and which do you like better?

i prefer the 702,good tip action with great backbone to fight the fish.

I use a Powell Endurance 6103 an love it but I also like a little more backbone to a dropshot rod than most. If you dont go with the 712.

I go with 7' rods unless dock fishing close in, My best spinning rods for drop shot, and wacky rigs are 702 and 703 Powells.
When in doubt set the hook..Retie often
