I know many professioal fishermen do not want to give up their secret fishing spots..but i'm looking for the best/favorite fishing spot within the houston city limits...already know about conroe, livingston, and huntsville, but looking for something much more local. Any suggestions would be great...

Good luck, One of these threads may be of help: Ponds in Houston Private lakes offer fishing on demand It's not really in the Houston area, but Fayette is about the best lake that's "close" to Houston. They killed the grass a while back at Raven, and it really hurt the fishing. Not sure if it's grown back or not, as it's probably been 3 or 4 years since I've been out there. Otherwise, some of the private options may be your best bet for quality fishing. But other than ponds in the first link, there really isn't much within the city limits. Unfortunately, we don't have the same luxury that the Dallas area does.
