There is a lake in Ft. Worth that is worth a try for anyone who lives in the area. It is just east of I35 heading north you get off at Ripy and it will be on the right.

From the bank it is usually decent fsihing and from a tube it is even better as much of the lake is unfishable from the bank.

The biggest fish I've see come out of there was about 10lbs.

If anyone has a hard time figuring out what to use just go with a 1/8-1/4 inline spinnerbait.

Also, this year I have seen people fishing with castnets out there for spawing bass. The lake is catch and release only already, so if you see anyone doing this please call and have someone come out and give them a ticket.

When I was younger, We always fished Echo Lake and caught alot of fish from there, I have not been there in a long time, but I drive by it several times a month and see lot of people fishing it,I fish a public lake in Fort Worth near my house that has produced nice bass, crappie, and perch, everytime I have fished it I have never blanked, alot of people never think of trying local small lakes and pond around FTW but they can produce alot of nice fish.

THere is also a similiar sized lake/pond off of I-30 at the Oakland Blvd exit. Turn SOuth on Oakland and then left first chance you get and it;s right there. Nice park and it does have some really good size fish in it. I have caught my biggest fish from the Gazebo (sp?) south. It is a little difficult from the shore but you can find openings or if you have a tube all the better.

Just my 2Cents worth and maybe I have shared info with someone who never knew it was there.

Yeah i've fished there a few times too. Its funny that the only ponds that are catch and release due to contamination in FTW are all decent ponds Como, Fosdic(Oakland) and Echo. Although I've seen quite few fish kept to be eaten illegally from Echo.

There is also a lake called White lake north of I-35 near Fosdic, it should be easyu to find on maps or google earth, and its right by some highschool. I went there once in the middle of the summer and caught one bass that was about 3lbs.

DO NOT eat anything out of either of those lakes.
Heavily polluted.
Any one who keeps fish to eat from there, will recieve justice.
