Got all the way to the lake and realized I didn't have my boat keys!!! Great!!! Luckily I have a great wife to meet me halfway. Slow day fishing, but had a good time.

It's a shame they killed the grass on that pond.

Great day!! My dad left the boat keys at the house one time when I was young and he had to drive 2 hours back to get them. So now that I am grown I always keep my boat keys under the seat in the boat.

I emailed Mark Webb (who is the District Supervisor for the tpwd) that exact question a couple of months ago and his answer was just under a 1000. I was hoping to get a no they hadn't.

It's come up 2 feet from the low but has another 2 to go till full. I went back in Dec. when the lake was 4 foot low and there was not an ounce of hydrilla anywhere. Water was a different color also. TPWD was suppose to survey the lake in Sept. for hydrilla and decide at that time if the carp would be needed. I don't believe that any hydrilla was found but they put them anyway to help prevent it from coming back so quickly this year. I was hoping that they would decide not to put them in so that there would be a small amount of hydrilla somewhere this summer. They expect a certain amount of the carp to die off each year but does anyone know the lifespan of those fish.

Unfortunately the life span of a grass carp is 8-12 years frown
