I'm thinking of putting in a new pond in the texoma area, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good pond professional to help with the design and construction.
thanks,
rory howard

Not a bad place to start, below is a good starting point. There is more to building a pond than just digging a hole and pushing dirt around, and many considerations to make. I'm not a fisheries biologist or certified engineer but most of the research is already done and between books and talking to people with experience you can do it. I would love the opportunity to build one. My idea of the perfect home is TFFC in Athens. If you get a chance to go to the Texas Freshwater Fisheies Center in Athens, go!!! That place is awesome.

I've built three now and plan on building at least two more. Each one is different. Each one presents its own set of challenges.

Sweet... Any picutures of your ponds available? Just to give Howard and myself an idea, was it an expansion of an exsisting watershed or new, how many acres? Knowing this can really vary, what were the construction cost?
