I'm searching for some good ponds in the Lubbock area. Any suggestions would be great.

What type of fish? I often fish the lake by Godecki Library on about 66th and Quaker. I have caught several good bass on the north west side of the lake.I have always caught the bass using a 1/8 ounce jig head with a Mister Twister Sassy Shad, tri-perch colored. Good Luck if you go out there.

Alright, well that's some good news. I've been searching for some type of bass pond in the Lubbock area and I hadn't been able to find one. I'll try that one out. Thanks for the info.

I have hit up the west pond over off Lakeridge Golf Course and caught some bass out of there. Nothing to brag about but there are some nice 3-4 pounders in there.

Forgot to mention that I would go at night. They get fairly pissed while there are golfers out on the course. Also, I found the most success on a Jitterbug, the jointed 5/8. Try that out if you dont mind doing some night fishing.

Heck yea man, that would be fun. Just let me know when and where! I can't this weekend though because me, my brother, and my dad are going down to choke canyon. Next week I may be able to.

Yeah dude I am always up for some fishing. Just dont know how I will find the time to now that I have a 2nd job. We will see though maybe I am busy because people are off for spring break. So hopefully it will slow down for me and another week or so.

BigJig...I have had some luck with the bass behind the library on Quaker. I generally use a white and blue spinner bait. That seems to work well. I have lost a couple rattle traps in the pond...there is a lot of **** on the bottom. I spoke to a game warden one time and he said that some guys will bring their bass back from alan henry and release them in that pond. Good luck man. If you go to that pond on the golf course make sure that you go at night like Jitterbug was saying. They have kicked me off of that place when I tried during the day.
