How hard is it to get the cork and reel seat on,and do you have to spin bass rods like a fly rod to find the side with power. If anyone has a link with some good details or just some info i would appriciate it thanks.

check out Mudhole.com probably the best. All the rods I build I build on the spine unless I get a blank that is noticeably crooked then I will build it with a attempt at taking the bend out of it with the weight of the guides and epoxy. For Cork you will need a set of reamers to fit the cork to the blank, reel seat you can build arbors out of masking tape to make it fit or buy the graphite or hard foam arbors and ream them to fit after you glue them in place.

Yes you will need to find the spine of the rod, as for installing the cork and reel seat, not to hard just need to ream them out until they fit and then glue them in. Mudhole has a DVD on how to build rods with the purchase of a kit, not a bad place to start as well as not to expensive to begin with. Good Luck!
