Which lake would you guys recommend for overall better bass fishing (mostly concerned about more bites) in the spring & summer?
Toledo Bend, Sam Rayburn, or Caddo?

I love Caddo, especially with its beautiful scenery, that would be my choice

Which one is closer? That is how I choose most often. Or the one not having a bass tournament.

Ive only fished Rayburn of those but out of the few times I fished there it became one of my favorite lakes really look forward to many more trips out there. We were catching 150+ bass a day between 3 of us in the spring. With alot of fish in the 2-4range last year.

I have fished toledo-bend and caddo alot. I would say if you are not familiar with either lake caddo is the easiest one to catch numbers and size on. The depth situation is taken out of the equation because it is all 4-5 ft deep and the lake is much smaller.

Depends on what kind fishing you like to do. Rayburn you can catch them year round in less than 8ft. Toledo has great deep structure to fish in the summer. Caddo is simply a cool lake to fish in the spring.

Toledo! Fish the midlake early and late spring and right on up the river into the summertime. You can find any kind of structure and color of water. Fish your bigger and more productive creeks in the fall from mouth all the way to the back. In the summer fish the high spots out of Shelby Beach on the Loisanna side from Bozier Bayou up and across to Teneha and Niger Creeks.Look for 3-4feet of water on top with 8-12 feet around them. Some are as half as big as a football field and some the size of a large house.Big crankbaits w/single large rattle, large bladed spinnerbaits w/at least one large willow leaf, and of course a6-10 inch worm with sinker pegged.Of course in the summer time you want to cover a lot of water till you find the fish so starting at daylight w/a buzzbait isn't a bad idea. If you feel like you've run out of fish on a hump just turn your boat around and fish in another direction. powdr

Caddo:) Swimsenko - Launch at Shady Acres off of Ferry Lake Rd in Oil City, LA. go to the right up the "B" boat road to B50-B70 and fish the tree lines to the right of the boat road. Great grass and always big numbers of bites.
