There has been several discussions about the amount of time it takes to download Freshest Data when you update your Navionics Chart. Just to let you know, WE HEAR YOU. We have heard as little as 20 minutes and as much as 14 hours to download the updates. Most of this is due to Internet speed and bandwidth, however we realize that it should be faster. I assure you that we are aware of it and we are addessing the issue along with a system to identify what is actually being updated. All we can do at this point is ask you to be patient, changes are coming.
People also are asking why update? We mave made over 100,000 changes in the US alone in 9 months. This is one of the reasons it is hard too publish what has been updated. We are also adding over 1000 new lakes which you will get free via Freshest Data.
At the end of the day just keep in mind we are the ONLY mapping company that is offering you unlimited free updates for a year and are the only company that provides you with the freshest data. We are also the ONLY mapping company that works with multiple plotters. We are the ONLY mapping company that gives you a free PC app when you purchase our charts.
Thank you for your input, please keep it coming. Thanks for being patient. If you have any specific concerns please address me via a PM. Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you. Until then tight lines and screaming drags!

Lots of posts about Navionics on here. I like your product and will continue to use it! I have the PREM-S6 chart, the PC app and the iPhone app. I also have the Lakemaster TX/OK card. I got it first and used it some, but now I tend to just leave my Humminbird 788ci set on the Navionics card. I recently got a new PC, HP Pavillion p7 Intel i5-2400 3.1GHz CPU. I have Verizon FiOS 35/35Mb download/upload internet connection. I didn't time it exactly but my last update was less than 20 minutes! My old PC took 2 or 3 times as long. Lots of factors go into how quick you get the update. If it took me 14 hours, I wouldn't be getting the updates, but with what I have now, it's a great service you offer and certainly worth my wait for every update! I have about a month left to get my freshest data updates. When that runs out I'll be looking into the $99 chart that allows me to download a choice of what I want from my PC. Thanks Navguy, keep up the good work!
