Headed to Falcon Thursday to fish Friday thru Monday. Anybody know what the current water temps, clarity, and lake level are? Thanks

It's around 25 feet low I believe and rising slowly. Water temps Sunday in the southern half of the lake were low 60s. Water was stained. A lot of floating wood--keep your eyes open.

I also just got back and this is dead on with what we found as well. The key is to find rock. We did see water around 66 in Salado yesterday, so they fish should be moved up by this weekend. All but a few of our fish were caught on plastics. Didn't matter what you were using, when you got around them they would bite.

One word of caution if you fish the Mexican side. There are a TON of nets in the water, so be careful.

Call Game Warden with GPS coords if nets found on US side.

I used nothing but 20lb last time I went down there and no problems. If they get you wrapped up in brush or anything like that doesnt really matter what lb test you have anyways. I think the more important thing to focus on would be having the right rod and reel for the job.

You'll be fine with either. I caught one almost 10 and another over 7 on 15# this past weekend.
