Bantam 10 sg was my first still have it prior to it was all zebco 33's. Can not stand spinning reels never could. Have a stradic I use for drop shotting have used every tip too avoid line twist. I'm the only one I have ever known to backlash a spinning reel.

1952 Shakespeare level wind on a metal rod.
Had a big one break me off and I lost my only lure...a Lazy Ike for those of you who have ever seen or heard of this wooden crank bait.
Cool lures like jitter bug, lucky strike.
My grandfathers favorite lure on the river was a live mouse that he would put on top of a 6 square inch piece of wood. He would let it go down the river up under the willows then pull the mouse off the board with his rod and hang on.

How about the "Crippled Minnow" ? It was a small crank bait in the 60's. Remember that one?

I was 16, and put down the Zebco for a slightly (heavily) used Daiwa Procaster. Which I put on my Berkley Lightning Rod that I seemed to break about every third trip to the ponds.
