I have been fishing Pines the last six weeks and have followed the crappie form the deep channels to what I guess is their pre-spawn areas in 12 to 25 ft.Being new to crappie fishing, my question is what their next move will be? Is their spawn behavior similar to bass? Do they bunch up? What should I expect and when should I expect the change? Thanks in advance.

They will move up to the banks and spawn when the water gets to the 60's.

I don't fish pines but the fish do the same thing on every lake this time of year when the water gets to the 60's.

Thank yall very much for the info. I suppose you have to cast jigs or can you use minnows?
