Would like to explore this East Texas tributary but have no idea where I might put in. Map dosen't show many roads near the creek. Please help if you can.

Hwy 31 in Chandler Tx. West of town is Kickapoo and east is the Neches River. Unless you're talking about another Kickapoo...

I know theres a Neches put in, maybe Wednesday after work I can swing out that way and take a look before the sun goes down. What city are you in/near?

General fyi, this is the FAR north end of lake Palestine and is a winding maze of channels and ox bows.

Found a put in on the west side of the creek, south size of 31. You'd want to travel east bound and pull off onto the gravel road there. Also you could take Fm 315 south in chandler and put in on the main lake and paddle under the bridge.

Working wednesday evening but am off Thursday. I live in South Arlington and heard about the sand bass run there from a friend. So I wanted to explore this water and try my luck at Kiskapoo.

Think I may need someone with a bit of local knowledge to guide me around?

It's not that big of a body of water. I moved to Tyler in October and I've yet to put in over there but it's on my list to check out. Might go paddle around on Sunday and try my luck.

I don't always catch fish, but when I do, I prefer Dos Hybrids
