He said that he was Bob or Bill from B.A.S.S. and proceeded to ask me if I had entered a sweepstake to fish with KVD in Orlando, FL? I said "YES SIR!!!!" my heart beat increased as I just knew that I had won the sweepstake for the Florida trip and could already see myself setting the hook from the back of KVD's Nitro. He continues to talk about the details of the trip and said that Kevin himself would be calling to winner on such and such date. I half assed stopped listening at that moment and realized I hadn't won carp. He got me, I thought to myself. He then started talking about a 5 year membership for $125 and you'll receive $150 worth of fishing lures for signing up tonight. I told him I would have to discuss it with my wife and wrote down the phone number to call back.

The moral of the story is, don't count your chickens before they hatch unless KVD is on the other end of the phone line. Needless to say, as quickly as I got excited, I came back to reality.

Did anyone else enter the sweepstake or get a call from BASS?

I hear ya, thats all a free drawing is for is to allow somebody to get imfo so sombody else can sell u something. We are being marketed in every thing we do in life even when we dont realize it

Not to brag but I've won so many grand prizes that I lost count. I get so excited that I always wake up before finding out what the prize was.

I have entered a bunch of these giveaways and have never received a call or email from any of them but this kind of thing will make me think twice before entering another one.

Yea I had some J.A on the phone who wouldn't know what a treble hook was if it was stuck in his forehead. He sounded like the Hybrid driving sweater tied around the neck type. LOL but i did re-up for one year so I guess he got me. I tried to get Bass Times thru him but he or his manager didn't know a thing about Bass Times.

Yep. Got a call a couple nights ago. Started his spill, but I stopped him and told him I was a life member and that was that. Wished me good luck and hung up.

My only problem was after entering everyday, near the last day to enter I read the rules again then I realized that I had miss read it and it read you only get to fish with KVD one morning on 7/10/2012. WTH?

i got one too, two weeks after I reuped with them. Are they getting desperate for members? I dont ever remember being called by bass for anything

My wife filled out a drawing card at the TTBC last Oct, it was for a airfreshner. We recieved a call in Dec, that we were the lucky winners; and that it would be dropped off that afternoon. My wife said that we both had to be present to accept our gift, so 2 guys show up and proceed to drag 3 big boxes in the house. 1st box was the gift. 2nd was a rainmaker vacum, 3rd was the attachments. After listening, and watching the demo for 2 looong hrs he hits me with a $3000.00 steal of a deal lol. After politely throwing them out, I told my wife to never fill out another one of those cards lol...
