Got to fish with my twin brother Todd today we started at 7:30 am because Todd had some stuff to do this afternoon . We didn't know what to expect early but it didn't disappoint . Todd asked , "where do we start?" I told him usually this time of year the fish should be upper lake .. Well , let's just say we eased out of the marina and found fish about 200 yrds out ... The graph was loaded and when we left at 12:00 pm it was still loaded not alot of hybrids but all the huge white bass you could stand . We ended the day with 6 legal hybrids and over 100 white bass that where monsters !!!! Hybrids where caught 5 cranks off bottom with dead assassins in the rod holders .. The whites where caught on small slabs .. Just a hint .. I would reel about 2 1/2 cranks off bottom and just hold the slab , every now and then slowly lower it and raise .. When the fish showed higher then I slowly raised it and would hold it .. We burned about 1 gallon of gas today !!! I haven't fished with Todd in the same boat for years and it was too long .. Today was his birthday and it was a good one .. He hired me years ago to learn Hubbard .. He has turned into one of the finest fisherman I know and considered him a friend for a long time .. Can not meet a finer man ... Thank you twin brother .. The fish was great , conversation inspirational and then we hit Primo's for some great Mexican food :)�

Work done .. Was on the water at 3:00pm and off by 5:00pm
.. No hybrids but alot of huge white bass .. Sorry no picks .. The same pattern as earlier but the fish where out in deeper water out from Robertson Park .. All fish caught from me on lures from
www.moestackleshop.com in 26-30 fr water .. Water was 50.6 in the morning and 53.6 in the afternoon .. Winds were all different directions today ..

It was like catching fish on a stocked pond loaded with healthy fish. No hunting was necessary. Caught em early with north wind, then East wind, caught even more fish?

Biggest hybrid weighed 7 lbs, and all hybrids are healthy and still growing. Catching depth was 24-28 ft. I am really liking the 50 degree water temp in the winter...

Happy birthday again Todd! JV great day and great report. Todd texted me and said it was insane. Before Todd wrote to tell me where it was happening I wrote him back and guessed and was right! Keith and I have cleaned up there lately. Probably like a lot of people I learned to fish from my Dad and a network of good old boys, guides and friends. Growing up my Dad got me started fishing at 5 years old. Like JV said Todd learned from him. To me fishing knowledge is best shared. My Dad always quoted this quote to me: "God does not deduct from man's allotted span the hours spent in fishing." So Todd you are a day younger my friend! The rest of us are all 22-years old!
