I was given a flyer on this at my club meeting and it looks like its not a bad deal. Sure cheaper then and power pole or talon. Just wanted to see if anyone has any exp with one, good or bad... Thanks http://diginanchors.com/

No, but I'm tempted to call customer service and ask Pat a few more questions about it for some reason...

Thats a pretty good deal.I like the idea of a bow mount shallow water anchor. The only drawback is dealing with the pole when not in use.

SPUD POLE! My Father has rigged up something similar to this on his Bay Boat.....Don't know why this is so funny?...Not really convenient for the Tourney guys but ingenious, if you ask me.

I bought one from anytide this winter, with a clamp-on bracket and 8' pin - love it. Mounted the bracket on the vertical part of my boarding ladder for use when I want to pin down the stern. I have a double looped lanyard 24" long that I stuck on the pin and can anchor off one side or the other of the bow, and hook to a deck cleat. Storage of the pin isn't a problem as I either lay it in the passenger ramp or on the front deck. I put a 12" long piece of swim noodle on mine to float it in case of accidental or premature deployment. I normally keep it on the front deck so I can toss it down and loop it onto a cleat pretty quick and stay pointed into the wind, etc... I use the stern bracket more when I drifting downwind. It's not as quick to deploy, nor does it look near as cool as power poles / talons, but for the cost of my system vs a power pole I can invest in better tackle and more swimbaits

I use one with my 16" aluminum boat. I had to have something to help fight the wind. I used the DIY model which was even cheaper; basically a $12 fiberglass rod and a rope. Works great for me.

My buddy has a 'Wang'. Seriously, the brand is called 'The Wang'. It has a bracket that you mount wherever and then push the rod down through it to hold you in place. It was on the coast, but it worked good everywhere but hard sand. On hard sand we had to throw an anchor then use the 'wang' to prevent us from swinging. Think it was this one. http://www.fishsoutheastern.com/wang-anchor/Came on the boat when he bought it. I might make something up with two, one for the bow and one for the stern, just lay the rod down on the deck with your rods when not using it. Poor boy way of a double power pole
