Yes. Fished there once, maybe 12 years ago, and the only memory I have of the place is ALLIGATORS! Didn't see any real big ones, but they were all over the place. Kind of weird fishing in a canoe with the knowledge that they were around. As for the fishing - it was not good, at least on that day for me!

I checked their website more closely and found it to very angled toward's memebrship, $1500 per yr, not in a sporting way and well just plain disheartening.

Never mind lol,
Gregg

How do you consider this "not in a sporting way"?

Texasmr2,

the fishing isnt good there at all. my dad and i went during the prespawn with the guy who owns it because we were looking at getting on that place. Well, it turned out it wasa bluebird day so we blamed it on the weather. The owner told us that was his worst day on the lake so he let us come back out by ourselves 2 weeks later. We went out there and fished ALL day and caught one little dink. We tried everything, but as it turns out a couple years back it flooded because it's so close to the colorado river and all the fished washed out.

thats just my story.
hope it helped

JC

I feel I need to add though that Simmons Lakes, imho, are on the cutting edge of a great idea and resource for fishermen who have no access to a productive fishing spot.
I do not want to sound like I am against them in anyway, I salute what they are doing!
