Does anybody know of any good ponds in or around Katy? I know quite of a few south of 1\10 at Katy Mills. But I don't know the legality of the situation though.

Where are good ones south of I10? Whats the legal problem, fences, signs? I can't think of any in Katy, havent fished there. I know of a couple in fulshear/simonton, but again, legal things.

Yeah I know of several...plus I know of a GOOD bayou. I'll tell you of my "secret" spot. I emailed you directions. Just email eatdrinksleepfish@yahoo.com if you can't find it.

There are a few decent ponds in Katy. TPWD stocks the Peckham Park pond with cats. (It has been a few years since I fished it, but I have pulled some decent little bass out of there too). Also, the ponds over at Falcon Point are pretty good. Those are probably the ones you were talking about over near the mall area. (especially try the Falcon Point golf course ponds if you can get away with it)

I tried the Falcon Point location but was asked to leave but the kid was very nice and said to come back after 8pm and it should be fine.

Pier Rat could you please email me the directions to the locations you are referring to?
I have been fishing the Katy area ponds and bayou's for about 3 months now and I'm wondering if YOUR bayou is the same one that I fished with GREAT success but over the past 6 weeks has become stagnant as far as catching bass.

Thanks bro,
Gregg

PS, Hey guys I just got a job at Academy, Hwy6 & Westheimer, in the hunting and fishing dept so stop by and introduce yourselves if you want to.

You need to go to www.mapquest.com & go to the maps section. You can look up water as any blue on the map. It's a great tool to find out of the way ponds.

Yah I have done that myself but the only issue is that you cannot tell if they are in gated communities or on private golf course's.

Great idea though and thanks for the reminder.

That's the adventure of it. I never know. I will soon have a navagation system in my truck to track down those little known about ponds to fish legally.

I don't want to look like Dick Chaney's hunting partner just to do a little fishing.
