The McButterPants Dance was funny on SNL but is a real distraction while trying to talk about FISHING!

I'm not sure but I think that it takes longer to reload a sling shot than it does to load another clip.

Just my .02 cents.

Now, if anyone of these dude's making concessions for fishing private ponds illegally, I wonder how they would feel if they put the time, effort & $ into thier own investment to have it plunder how they would feel?

not all ponds, especially in plano are built with the intention of raising fish though.

Respect for land owners would mean asking permission or not trespassing. There can be no misunderstanding of this...respect is not shown or given by trespassers...only disrespect!!

Same as stealing a man's horse.

It is not that hard to knock on the landowners door to ask permission to fish on his or her property. The worst thing they can say is no. That is a hell of a lot better that having to pay a trespassing fine to the city or even jail. Not to mention, the landowner can legally shoot trespassers on their property in Texas with no questions asked. It is really not worth it to me. If you do get access to a prime spot, here are a few ideas I stick by:
1. Leave all gates the way you find them. If they are open leave them this way. If closed, make sure you close them.
2. Always leave the area cleaner than you found it.
3. If you plan on bringing a friend, make sure the landowner know about the extra person.
4. Always thank the landowner when you leave.
5. Offer to help with chores around the property. (I once mowed a pasture for a landowner that took me a total of 17 hours on a brushhog to mow.)
6. Respect the property as you own.

The hardest thing about fishing is figuring out what the fish want to eat.

wow this got violent fast, this thread got started with a little joking about runnin from the law-dawg after sneakin into a pond and catchin a few fish (probably younger guys). I dare one of you guys (pond owners) to tell me you've never done that when you were younger. ya'll act like that 11 lbr died for sure when most likely it had been caught at some point or another in this pond and survived it. anyway not trying to say trespassing is alright, and you should ask permission but I can almost bet the deed to my house that ya'll are being hippocritical about this. Once again the right thing to do is get permission.

fishing without beer is like,.umm...hunting without beer!

I also drank and drove when i was younger didnt make it right . And NO I never snuck into a pond I had to go up to houses and ask, like my father taught me to do. I also had access to a private lake within an hour. And I also had plenty of PUBLIC ponds and lake to use.
