Theres a guy in Livingston out by the lake that does.

I love the looks and layout of that boat. How does it handle the rough water?

I have been running a Phoenix since 2010. My new one is the 721 with Yamaha 250 SHO and Atlas HD jack plate. It is AWESOME! It has a fast smooth ride. It fishes as good as it takes the rough water. Lightly loaded with just myself I have reached 81 GPS. Tournament loaded with livewells full and two people I run around 72-74 depending on how much gas. I "think" the 619 is rated for a 200 and the 719 is rated for a 225. I have been running my SHO since July..... it is strong, fast, and reliable. If anyone is interested in taking a demo in a Phoenix you can reach me at 903-649-3354. Or visit Shipps Marine at www.shippsmarine.com . I would be more than happy to meet up with you and let you take a look and test drive. I will be at the Classic in Shreveport with Phoenix. Come check out all the Phoenix boats at the Expo.

Yes sir guess I need to update my pics a bit.. I'll say this, I've been in quite a few boats and i have yet to be in any boat that is as soft in rough water as this one.. The hull does a great job at slicing the waves even at high speed.. I'm not saying its the best rough water boat at all, I haven't driven every boat out there by any means.. It handles like there are rails guiding it, the hull bites hard in turns with no tendency to skip or hop, and Its never felt like it wanted to bow hook at all.. Ask some that have ridden with me, I like WFO!!

A buddy of mine got a new 721 this past year and I finally got to drive it this weekend and fish out of it. We put in a Big Cypress and ran the river to caddo. I got her up to 75.? going with the wind and current down river, with two people and 3/4 tank of gas. He has the 250 SHO and I was very impressed with the motors hole shot and mid range. I think the Pro XS will still take it on top end but the distance it would take to catch would have to be a pretty good run.
I have owned to Cats (Puma and Cougar) and they are very comparable in handling and performance, I also like the deck layout and trailer construction (mainly the bedliner type covering /gatorhyde/) nothing to chip or rust.
Overall highly impressed and would consider buying a pheonix for my next boat, only thing I would have holding me back is resale/popularity, jury is still out with such a young boat co.

Give Brent at www.shippsmarine.com a call. He has a 719 with 225 SHO that has a great price on it! It may still be more than you want to spend? But would be worth looking into.

There should be $1,500 diff between those two motors. If they are quoting you more than that, Tell them to Jump.... in the Lake!

Have delt with Shipps Marine for many years and have bought several boats from them. You will not find a better bunch of people to work with. Great customer service!

Hello:
My name is Brent Abernathy with Shipp's Marine in Gladewater.
There is no doubt that these boats were well thought out, well planned , and extremely well executed . Probably the hottest, most talked about bass boat on the market today. They are really getting evaluated by everyone that buys them mainly because they are so new to the market and these buyers want to make sure they are making a good decision. There are many great bass boats on the market today, and I will put the Phoenix Bass Boat line up to any of them. Features, ride, appearance, and details in the Phoenix Bass Boat line are fabulous.
Give me call and we can make arrangements for a test drive or just to visit about this quality boat line.
