Is it common practice to run additives with every fill up of gas? In all my years of boating all I do is pump gas and go. I do go often though.

Factories recommend every tank. With todays fuel it might be a good idea to use it at least every other tank of gas.

WE have got to start checking the ethanol percent guys before you put it in your boat. Guy just PMed me talking about finding out the stations are selling 15+ now. His Yamaha 225HPDI blew and fuel test showed 16 percent ethanol in it. This is in the Abiline area. I had a 250 PRO XB that had bad reeds. Replaced the reeds and when I went to test, it would`nt hold fuel pressure, 4 of the 6 injectors were stuck. Had them repaired and now the motor chunked a rod. I had the fuel tested and it showed 18 percent ethanol. Fuel was purchased close to Lake Ray Roberts.

So what what additives do you use to combat this issue? Does Seafoam or Sta-bil prevent the above mentioned problems? Almost seems that an octane booster would be more beneficial than a fuel stabilizer, but he'll if I know.

Seems to me if you can prove that you bought GAS that was over the 15% you could get the station to pay for the repairs or NEW Motor, as they advertise that its up to 15% and not more.

we need an additive that ELIMINATES the ethanol out of fuel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yup, and if someone marketed one.....we know the corn lobby would have the EPA outlaw it.
Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.
