Was thinking about getting a Jeep Wrangler. Does anybody pull their boat with one. I have a Skeeter 202ZX tandem axle. I'm not sure it it would be worth a flip trying to get up the ramps. stopping worries me a little to.

If the ramp is 5 minutes away, then maybe, if you keep it under 25mph. Braking is the number one concern. Pulling power is second. I have a jeep and would never think about pulling my boat with it. They're not built to pull, too short of wheel base.

If I was going out to buy a tow vehicle it isnt what I would buy, but If it is what I had I wouldnt have a problem using it granted that the trailer had breaks. The power shouldnt be an issue, it wont pull it like a 1-ton diesel, but jeeps are off road oriented and are generaly geared pretty good, unless you already have huge tires on it.

I pull a 20' BassCat with a 2006 Rubicon. I realize that braking can be a problem so, I tow it for only short trips. It is less than 7 miles from my boat stall to the county ramp in Zapata. I bought the Rubicon because of the front and rear disc brakes. You can put the transfer case in low and crawl the boat in and out of the ramp.
