At what lake levels are most of the boat lanes safe to run.

Bridge south should be good now. Talkin louisiana north south there is some scetchy section just south of bridge on tx side. Lake level i would say about 163.5 for most of south end wouldnt overtrust it less than that.

Id follow in behind someone of unsure. There are many spots at current level of texas side n/s lanes that are 6-8 ft deep. Would use even more caution in the creeks and cuts.

what part of the lake are you wanting to know about? I spent Thurs/Fri at TB and the lanes on the southend are in decent shape...

Well never been on there so I dont really know I hear alot about the six mile area so maybe be a starting point for me I mostly fish Rayburn been wanting to go to the bend but was waiting for water to come back up some.

He's correct! DO NOT run the boat lane just south of the bridge on the Texas side. Take a look at the SRA Louisiana website and it will show the lanes that are considered "safe" above 163 MSL.

now - but,.....STAY ON THE LA SIDE if you are on plane, but there are still some rigdges that are close. From the Bridge South you are fine (crossing fingers).

You still can not run on the Texas side around the Spring Hill area, you will hit stumps. Needs at least 4 more feet over there and that will be close. I would fish Indian Mounds south on the Texas side, and still be careful, its high enough now not to see the trees you may hit : / just have to pay attention

If you have never been to TB, I would suggest waiting until it comes up a bit more. Since you know Rayburn, I would stick with that lake until TB comes up a bit more, which may (hopefully) continue. I'm not trying to discourage you, but one wrong turn at this level will cause some damage. I know a bunch of stumps that were visible a couple of weeks ago are now 1 foot underwater.

personally i run everything south of the bridge at 163.5... but that's me.

Since you've never been here, i'd pick a creek and stay in it if you are gonna fish the Tx side. Most dangerous thing at the lake right now to a Toledo first timer is all the buoeys missing. Over the last 4-6 weeks i've noticed at least 15 missing. I usually spot them later, and they are on the bank.

If I go that would be more than likely what I would do pick a good cove and fish it. Thks Guys for the info.

I'd look at launching at 6 mile and fish in there, highlife cove, sandy creek, 6 mile flats or launch at fin and feather and fish in Housen. Both are big coves and great to fish and easy to navigate. Was on Toledo this past weekend and fished 6 mile and it looks good. Had a few friends fish in Housen and they said looked good as well. Good luck

I would follow Flukes advice. You can fish either of those coves all day and not hit the same spot twice. Like mentioned, several of the bouys are missing or misplaced. I know the bouy going into Buck Creek is about 25 yards north of where it should be and is sitting in 2 feet of water. Not good for a 1st timer on TB. Look on the bright side, TB is only 7.5 feet low compared to 13 several months ago. Progress!!!!
