Really nice fish! Our big fish have been a little sparse also. I have two favorite fish: crappie and flathead. I get the same thrill out of a 2+lb crappie as a monster flathead!

The elusive underestimation of a fish's size... Great looking fish there, friend! Unless that thing is really skinny, you got yourself a 2+ lb fish there. Way to go!

I don't live for the thump, but I sure do like it.

Yeah I didn't weigh on a good scale. Just a cheap barkley hanger scale. it was just about 1/8th under 1 kilogram so I made a somewhat mathmatical estimation of 1.96lbs. She was fat as well though. Lots of eggs in her. Certainly could have been close to 2.25lbs as those hanger scales tend to weigh light.I just don't like to boast numbers as far as weight. I have seen some fish on here that people are claiming to be almost 3lbs and they arent. I caught one about 3weeks ago that was bigger and on the same scale was 2.4lbs. You guys got me wondering if I flopped on my 3 pounder goal with all these comments. Need to get new battery for certified scale.
