I have a 2011 skeeter, yesterday I noticed my right side livewell wasn't pumping water into it. The recirculation thing was working. The pump is running because I can hear it. The left side one was filling up with no problem. Anything I could be doing wrong? Its brand new so I dont think there would be anything wrong with pump.

I have had this happen to me in the past with my 2011 skeeter. The pump can get air in the line or trash and not prime or pump. Try putting you boat in reverse with the pump running this has worked to fix the problem for me in the past. Good luck

you mean you spend that kind of money on a boat and they cant get the livewells to work everytime, sounds like a Recall should be done on them.

Next time it does that backup. Sometimes the pumps get air n them and u need to prime them by backing up.

A recall should not be done! It could have ran with no water and burned the pump (impeller) up, sucked dirt up, sucked trash up, etc...It is a simple fix and it probable under warranty still.

Its not because its a 2011 my 09 does the samething if I dont use the livewell just put your motor in reverse and tap on the gas and it will pick up. You dont have to have the pump running while doing it either.

Mine does the same thing; sounds like a skeeter flaw, but I have been getting in the habit of making priming the pumps part of my launch routine. I turn them both on and as I am taking the boat off the trailer, it gets some water going in the pumps.

I turn them off and then when I need them I don't have to do the reverse dance thing.

Not positive but I don't think its the pump I believe there are little diaphrams in there that get stuck you just have to give them alittle encouragement sometimes to open.

Trash in line like grass and mud. Sometimes the trash will even reach the pump and cause it to seaze up. A hard reverse will help clear it.

If the livewell won't stay full then you have a problem with the shutoff vavle....easy fix on Skeeters since they have quick disconnect fittings. Pumps are easy fix too with quick disconnect fittings too.

I'm an expert cause I fish in mud and junk too much...went to Amistad where there isn't much junk and it works great....East Texas lakes have so much MUCK.

On my Skeeter livewells, I have to either push in or pull out the little PVC tube that you can see in the livewell. This will make it either pump water out or fill up your livewell.

hope this helps
