Spring break trip planned with soon to be fiance, daughter, and parents. Which ne would be better to stay at for a few days? Does Holiday have RV parking byt he night? I have fished from Holiday ramp before...and last year we stayed at Windy Point and had a great time with fishing a few juglines and just camping and relaxing. Would like to intermingle the jugline fishing with catching some hybrids/stripers/sand bass. I feel comfortable leaving Holiday and hitting several hybrid spots...is there a lot of trees between the State Park and Holiday? Thanks in advance for all replies...also, how much does the state park or holiday charge for camping?

Never been to the State Park, but after seeing Holiday I would say State Park. Holiday was just fine for putting in, but I dont think I would want to spend a weekend there camping. Good luck!

State park, by all means. No trees in between as long as you stay more toward the south shore. Not too close though. Right now, and if we don't get another rain event, you can see the trees. More east of the state park, than toward holiday.

The State Park is the best with clean restrooms and a great ramp. You can see the trees in the middle of the lake now but if it comes up you want be able to. You will not have a problem going south if you watch the shallow points. I always launch at the Park. They are between $18.00 and $22 a night to camp.

Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

What about lodging on Tawakoni? Is there any cabins or lodges to stay at on Tawakoni?

I'm with ya on the state park. Stayed there about 2 years and it was awesome! Saw a momma deer and her two fawn running like banchies into the trees! Park is only about a 4 to 5 minute run to holiday , unless you're in my boat! Make it 1 1/2 min.
Great boat ramps, and pretty cheap stay!

That must have been when he hurt his wife's shoulder at Hubbard. I knew she would get even.
