It's on Mill St west of Main across from where the old CCA resale store used to be.

Did AllStar move from South East Dallas? Is this the same AllStar?

If this is the same shop, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that the one in Dallas had closed down, and they relocated to Lewisville.

"Bob Ridgeway" hasn't been always fixed it right the first time, BUT he has always made things right, and fixed it. It has taken several trips to his shop to get a trolling motor repaired, but he has always managed to fix it at no additional fee (but I do have to drive there from Plano, which is inconvenient), but you can trust that he will be there to get it done.

I had AllStar mount a trolling motor (the one in East Dallas). I specifically stated that I did not want them to wire or anything else. I simply didn't want to drill into my bow to mount the thing. Just mount the stupid thing on the bow. They gave me a verbal quoate. They didn't even do that correctly (no washers under the fiberglass)and when they "DID" the wiring, it was with simple crimps, exposing the wire to water and corrosion (I just re-wired it last week because with two freshly charged batteries, the meter was detecting low battery charge).

I only used them because "Bob Ridgeway" was not open on the weekend, and I didn't want to tow my boat into West Dallas on a weekday morning.

I should have known better, after the kid directing me to back my boat into the garage area (the garage was dark) wasn't paying attention and the motor's Skeg, hit a brand new bass boat. Then, they didn't have the "White" rip-tide mount that I requested. I gave them a full description and model number, and they indicated they had it.

I had already set up Kite string to pull the cables through the PVC (built into the hull to protect cables) chasers. They intentionally ran cables (on the outside), and charged me much, much more for the installation than what they quoted.

I had requested the police to show up, because I was ready to kill the little punk that did the install. Two Dallas police officers did show up.

The police said that in order to get my boat I would have to pay them, but I could try and fight it in court. But without a "Work Order" specifically stating in writing, it would be difficult, but not impossible since this is not the first time they have done this.

If this is the same organization...DON'T USE THEM. If you do, GET IT IN WRITING (not a bad idea for any work you have performed on your investment...boat).
