Ok here is my take on Thursday. ---LOL---
I took two days off this week so I could take advantage of some calm good weather because it seems that the weekends are starting to mess with me again by the gale force winds and storms.

So I contacted Frank and told him to hurry up and get his homework done because I was coming out that morning. He said he will call when he is done.
So I got on the water at 9:00 am and went to the area that I have been reading about from Lip, Frank and Paul reports. So I found that big flock of water turkeys and there were no fish at all. About that time Frank texted me and I just called back because I am not very good at texting. As I was talking to him slow motoring back towards chandlers I marked some fish and told him to call when he was ready. so I started calling them up and had 15 in the live well 14 inches and bigger when Frank called.
So I pulled up and went to pick Frank up and we ate lunch at Franks bar and grill at Harbor bay --LOL--. I love your slip and the way it is set up. I felt like I was on the coast or something dining out

We head out to the spot where I had marked them earlier and found them still in the area. With in 10 minutes Frank unleashed a fury on the fish and had 5 more BIG ones in the live well. The wind was perfect and it was easy to stay in the area with the trolling motor. WE WORE THEM OUT!!!

and caught over 100 in the next 3 to 4 hours and were culling good sized sandies only keeping the hogs. The wind was kind of drifting us slowly and I kept the fish under us for about 300 yards and it was quick steady catching the whole time until we drifted int the river channel and I got hung up. So we went back to the marker and started over and were STILL CATCHING THEM WOW!!
I had a rod holder with a 4 inch fluke on it and they were just hammering it all day I ended up catching approximately 10 to 15 just letting that thing soak. Frank was laughing at me because since I have never done that fluke thing before I would get so excited and start hollering when I caught one

No Hybrids for us but we tried.
When we finally got two limits ( by the way this time we using the counter so we wouldn't have to guess --LOL--) so we decided to head in and went right by chandlers and the birds were going crazy so we stopped to try and see if there were any hibbies there. So we tied on some 2 ounce god fathers and my ole trusty fluke set up and caught 20 to 30 big sandies in about 30 minutes. It was crazy how the fish were hitting the slabs any way you wanted to throw it moving it or not. They were wearing out the fluke and I got four big ones on it. I would put my slab pole down and would be reeling the fluke in and BAM!! they would hit the 2 ounce slab just dangling there . Three times I almost lost my rod form being dragged off the boat. So the fourth time I put my foot on it and sure enough it hooked another fat sandy. So four times in that last 30 minutes I had two poles with two fish on them just like the picture of Worm on Pauls post. We threw all those big sandies back because we had our fifty. It was heartbreaking to do but we followed the rules.

After that we went in to clean the fish and got to eat some chilly at Franks Bar and grill. Didn't get home til 11:00 PM or so because Frank is very popular at Harbor bay and everyone stopped by to say hey.
Any way it was a fantastic day out there and Frank Thanks for the great company. Glad I took off work because the weather is going to be bad fri and sat.
