I have a 25hp johnson outboard just wondering if water is suppost to come out of the exhaust ports on just below the motor its not a lot kind of misting out.

On the older models of Johnson/Evinrudes, that is where the water will just seem to mist out , the later models has a pee hole on the bottom of the powerhead & it also blows out of the through prop exhaust. What year model is the 25hp?


Keep your powder dry & don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes!!

its a 1977 it has a pee hole to and a hole just above the lower unit.

there is also a little side plate with 2 screws in it. I took it off and looks like were the water goes up to motor and there was watery oil and smells like gas in it.
