Main power switch on Skeeter is not staying on. 2002 ZX model. This is the power switch to all accessories, including bilge, electronics, etc. The battery is relatively new and the boat starts great so it's not a battery issue. The power light will come on for a split second then go off. What could be the problem??

My 2004 did the same thing when it was sitting in the showroom, but it was fixed when I picked it up. I don't know what they did to fix it though. Here's skeeters number if nobody else here knows how to fix it, 903 984 0541.

thanks fletch for the number. i called and they told me it was most likely the relays that are found on the bottom of the fuse box. he said there were 3 of them and they could easily be switched out. he said i could find the parts at any auto parts store. i'll try it this weekend. sounds cheap enough too. for anyone else reading this, he said the most common reason for this is a low battery.

I would like to share one this with you, while fishing a 2 day tourney my cranking battery went down because I relied on the alt. to charge the battery. Well it didn't hold up because of the lack of running time. I bought a seperate battery charger for the cranking battery and a multi plug extention cord so when I charge my TM batteries I am charging the cranking battery as well!

When in doubt SET THE HOOK!
