My license sticker won't stay stuck to my inflatable boat. It's a 12' avon rover made of hypalon. Anybody know what to do? My local TPWD office didn't know anything. For now I've just been holding it on with grey tape, works fairly well but is butt ugly and starts falling off after a while anyway.

Hows about laminating your sticker and sliding it into a glued on transparent plastic pocket, numbers could be just painted on...just a thought

Why not sew (or have sewn) a pocket that you slide your numbers into. Put your number decals on a piece of plexiglass, cut down to the size required for the numbers. Then, install a pocket just big enough to slide the plexiglass into. The pocket will only have fabric on the sides, and is open and clear in the middle so you'll see the numbers. You could use a piece of clear plastic of some sort for the center if you wanted.

The numbers will be painted on, I allready got the right paint. You can't exactly sew it on, it will leak. Now if I could find some hypalon and the right glue, I could sew a peice of plexiglass into a patch of hypalon, and glue that on.

I thought it had a cover around a bladder like a float tube. I just googled 'registration numbers inflatable" and found these hypalon decals that are designed for inflatables.
Also, in the search, the state of PA says that "Inflatable boats may display their numbers and decals on boards that are tied to each side of the boat." I think that would also work in Texas.
Here's the link for the decals.

Hadn't thought about the board thing. I'll have to check with TPWD. And I guess I'd need to find something official that says its OK for when the game warden doesn't know.
