I saw a great way to make fishing noodles (jugs) on-line, using a coat hanger instead of a PVC pipe in the noodle.
These things are great. They are cheaper to make, less bulky, and lighter than the traditional noodle with the pvc. I made a you tube video on how to do this. It's the only way I jug now. so easy to make.

Have to give you credit, your design is simple and appears that it will work just fine;howerver, there is one fatal problem. It you are fishing in Texas those noodles are illegal. They must be white to be legal for use in Texas waters.

When you buy your fishing licence they give you this little book too. That book has all the rules in it. If they didn't give you one you should ask for it.

Latex paint works on pool noodles....

It doesn't turn out to be a work of art but it does make em legal and it doesn't stay on forever but it's cheap. Get the flat and it makes marking the foam with a sharpie easy.
