My 5 year old son has been begging me to take him. Anyone catching any around the marinas or the bridge yet? May still be a little early but I figured with the warmer-than-usual weather there might be a few to be found.

Cedar Ridge Marina would probably be the best bet, but I have not heard anything. I know they caught a bunch last year around this time.
I highly doubt there is anything going on at the bridge. For day time fishing May/June are prime, though this year it would normally be April based on temps. The problem is water depth. If the weather pattern holds fish should be in the vicinity of their old spawning haunts early to mid march depending on fronts.
All bets are really off though as the lake has ever been this low, this time of year in my lifetime. Night fishing actually probably has the best chance of sucess presently.

I talked with a man that rents a boat slip on Belton yesterday. He said he caught 10 crappie off his slip this past weekend.

I may go try some night fishing at Morgan's Point. It normally doesn't get good until March, but with the water temps already in the mid fifties and a full moon they should be starting to move.
Thanks for the info guys.

Not crappie but whites are good on bright days, my 4 year old nailed some big ones last week. Last good crappie we got came out of the big tree north of Lake Air cove. You know where. But watch his rod there were some mean blues mixed in! Fun for all.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Thanks leanin post for the info.
And I do know the tree you are talking about Ifishtoo. I caught a 45 lb bluecat in that area last year on a carolina rig fishing for bass. The blues are getting crazy out there.
If anyone wants to catch some hybrids and whites, they have been thick around Temple lake park in 28-35 feet of water. Just look for the birds or bait on your graph. We used a-rigs and were catching them 2-3 at a time.
I'll let you guys know if we do any good.
