Just finished the recarpet job on my Stratos. I used Basscat 24oz carpet and contact cement and it turned out great. I also replaced all of the handles with anchor handles and put gas lifts in some of the boxes that did not have them.

So far in the past year I have added LED deck and compartment lights, alarm system, new carpet and harware and recessed trolling motor tray.

Big thank you to Tommy Yetts for taking the time to chat with me about the install and for providing some tips. Tommy is good people. Check him out if you are looking for some carpet. This stuff is like standing on a pillow.

Looks good Crash, great job on the DIY. I redid the carpet in my ranger a few years ago, it's not as hard as some would think.

Very nice job. How many hours do you think you have in it?

Looks really good. I have wished I had some of that kinda carpet when I sleep in the boat on the water some nights.

Thanks everybody. I did a TON on research before I started. I would say that I have 4-5 days worth of work in it. This was my first time so I am sure it would be faster if I did it again. It is not hard, just very tedious.

For those of you thinking about doing it, I received quotes that ranged from $900 - $550. I got the carpet as a Christmas gift but had to buy supplies. I would say that my total out of pocket was approx. $180.

You did a great job. I might have to try that myself.

Great job. Be careful of the handles. I kneeled down on one in the summer and it branded me. They do get hot.

From Rockwall Marine. Give Tommy a call, he will set you up.

Very nice. I done my Skeeter last year and I know how bad it sucks to scrape, clean, cut and glue it and make it look nice.
