Strange! What would cause a fuel gauge on '03 Skeeter ZX225 to read full when actual is less than 1/4 full - both tanks?

Bad gauge, incorrect wiring, bad sending unit in fuel tank..... check voltage to gauge first and make sure it is connected correctly............ if that's OK, then see if you can borrow another gauge, if it still wont work its the sending unit in the tank.
