Hey fellas I just got back home to Del Rio after being in Colorado on business for the last month and a half. What's the word on the Big Blue right now? What should I be chunkin' when I head out this week? I'm sure La Pieza has has caught a new PB since I've been gone

There are fish shallow and deep. You can pretty much catch them however you want. It's a bit tougher to find the schools of solid fish though. At least it has been for us.

May try to take the kiddos fishing. What would be best, simple rigging for them to try to catch a couple fish. Not worried about tournament, just keep the young ones entertained.

Kurt Dove obviously knows the lake! On January 29th he guessed Top 10 would take 36 pounds after Day 2, it was really 35-15! He then guessed winning weight would be 62 pounds, it was 63!

bass champs will take 42 lbs to win at least i wish i could go to that. Did u see the weights at the everstart? 80% of the locals struggled. There are bucks raking in areas so this next full moon should be great. Besides fish pulling up, I think the deep bite has been struggling because of the falling water. This has caused many of them to pull off to the first ledge and suspend. Go where there is good grass.

Ya 42lbs isn't going to win it. I will actually be suprised if anyone from Champs weighs in over 30lbs. Our weather out here is getting so messed up its kind of scattering and confusing the fish I believe.

Not sure how old/fishing levels of the kids but here's an easy rig for bites on Amistad... Put a split shot about 10" in front of a wat/red fluke and let them throw it around the grass.
