Comparable to the old Caenans. Better off finding a new E for the price.
You know the old saying
If it floats, flys, or f___s it is always cheaper to rent!
You have to decide which is more important.

It seems like they down graded. The new curados are more like a citica and the chronarchs are more like the old curados.

You should still be able to get a new E series curado for that price. Last time I checked ohya.com still had them in stock.

Look at the citrix from okuma. You also will get a 20 rebate on tackle warehouse.

I have always used Shimano, that's all I have in my arsenal of 6 reels. LOL! But, I also believe Shimano has been sacrificing quality lately. My next reel will be a Lews. I haven't heard anything bad about them and they are affordable and still have a quality feel about them. Back on topic, I never have liked Citicas, only Curados. I'm still gong to give Lews a try!

Ken, go with the lews mg series. They are good reels I've had one about a month half so it's been used like 11 trips throwing a dd22 so I'm sure if it would've broke I would've tore it up already. I went to academy and held every single citica they had and everyone had a loose side plate, loose spool wobble, and over all junky feel. I could figure maybe one out of 9 but 9 out of 9 is ridiculous problems to me. I absolutely loved shimano But never again will I Buy one unless it's an old e series. From now on I'm using quantums. I love my lews but the smoke amd exo are amazing.
I can backlash toilet paper.

For that price I would get a brand new Curado E. If you like small framed reels ge a Curado E50. They were good reels at $250 but are unbeatable at $125-$140

Thanks for all the good advise. All my reels are shimano citicas and curados, I got some of the older curados and a 2 old curado DHSV but I just like the smaller profile reels. I got about 10 total shimano's. Ive heard alot of good things about the lews reels, Ill have to check them out. How are they compared to the curados as far as casting and backlashing?

The johnny morris carbonlite is the best reel I have ever used and that's a huge statement!! it's only $129 but feels and handles more like a $250 or more reel it weighs only 5.9 ounces has 14lbs of drag and is super smooth I caught 6 to 10lb hybrids all day today with it.The casts were distant, the drag was amazing and it's just an all around awesome little reel!! well worth the money!! get one i'm tellin you it's the absolute best out there for the money! (NOTE)the next cheapest reel in the 5oz class is the EXO for $250!
