I am in Port Aransas for February and March and want to try both saltwater
and freshwater fishing. Fish large and smallmouth in Michigan's upper peninsula.
While I am in Texas would like to fish for bass or ther freshwater fish. I have been reading about the drought conditions at many of the lakes. I would like to do a day
trip somewhere near. Can I get my 17 ft boat into Lake Corpus Christi or any where
else within driving distance?

Thanks in advance for your help.

No launches open at Lake Corpus Christi, due to low water levels. Might try Choke Canyon at Three Rivers.
